Gianluigi Buffon could return to Juventus, just one year after his departure, Italian sports media said on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old Italian goalkeeper left the Paris SG in early June after only one season, overall mixed.
Since then, it has been announced in various clubs, including Porto. But, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport and the Corriere dello Sport, it is now close to a return to Juventus.
“Juventus think very seriously about the return of their captain. It’s almost settled, “says the Gazzetta.
According to the Italian media, Buffon could sign a one-year contract, as substitute guardian of Polish incumbent Szczesny. He could then join the management team of the Piedmontese club.
Buffon played 17 seasons in Juventus, from 2001 to 2018. He won nine Italian league titles and four Italian Cups.
